Integrative Healing through Food, Lifestyle & Spirit

Traditional Chinese Medicine

Michael Fisher brings a unique perspective to health through teachings in pre-revolutionary traditional Chinese medicine, which emphasize the three branches of healing: diet, movement/lifestyle and most importantly, the spirit. It is our spirit that guides all processes in the body, both destructive and healing. It also aligns us with our personal dharma, and opens us to the compassion and acceptance to make the correct choices required for personal transformation.

Michael epitomizes the "yogi among us". His non-judgemental, compassionate nature allows us to become aware of our own lifestyle and diet, without the need for scrutiny or validation. Through this awareness, we open the heart-mind which initiates the healing process. His teachings combine Western nutrition with Eastern philosophies and traditional Chinese medicine.

Educating us on the three branches of healing, we are able to fathom and gain access to the "source" of these methods, where we experience essence and equilibrium; the foundation of Sattvic living as a modern day yogi.

In this intensive, we will:

  • Expand our sense of awareness in healing, food, and self
  • Learn the foundation of yogic nutrition and eating
  • Redefine health and align us with our food dharma
  • Learn to identify why we choose certain foods
  • Discover the importance of digestion and its implications in healing
  • Be introduced to basics in Chinese medicine: yin/yang, interior/exterior, hot/cold, etc
  • Gain a new sense of harmony and how to achieve it
  • Explore modern day epidemics such as candida, adrenal fatigue, allergies, etc
  • Practice centredness through mindful movement and meditation
  • Do yoga kriyas and meditation for digestion and opening the heart
  • Learn basic therapeutic properties of various foods and preparation techniques
  • Learn how to choose the best quality foods (oils, sweeteners, etc)

All are welcome to join us for this weekend intensive. No previous experience required.
