My Personal Philosophy of Yoga
Osho once said that we should all become "Zorba the Buddha". "Zorba the Greek" was a wild and fun character who enjoyed every moment of his life - sensually, intellectually, and emotionally. The Buddha found enlightenment and peace sitting under a Bodhi tree.
Imagine having the goal to be both. Imagine having that true inner calm of the Buddha - a wonderful peaceful centre that allows us to make choices in our lives that are in alignment with our true path. And then to enjoy life like Zorba - a life filled with fun and adventure - great food, great friends, great passions!!
This to me is the goal of any yoga practice - to fully heal our minds, bodies and souls so that we aren't continually tripping over our pasts. To be at peace and happy in our core. To know what our passions are and to have the desire, courage and energy to go after them.
This is true unity, true joy and true peace.
This is yoga.
