Serious Fun! Theatre Bites

Enjoy drama but don't have the time or desire to take part in a full program or do a performance? Come take a Theatre Bite!

Theatre Bites are half-day workshops that provide kids and teens with the chance to explore theatre in easy, fun, small bites! Each workshop is based around a different theme and will give students the opportunity to play with character, improvisation, mime, voice work, and more. There will be lots of drama games and activities designed to build confidence, creativity and skills. All workshops are designed for both boys and girls, and are perfect for beginners, but will also be challenging and fun for those with more experience as well.

Jan. 21: Medieval Madness

Explore playing a variety of Medieval characters from court jesters to Kings and Queens, knights and dragon slayers to peasants and gypsies. Learn some medieval slang and funny customs and behaviours from the times. Explore a kingdom setting and see what kind of Medieval mischief we get up to!

Feb. 18: Pirate Pizazz

Create a fantastic pirate character and join us on an incredible journey on the high seas! Through creative play we will experience life on a pirate ship, complete with treasure hunts and booby traps, walking the plank, stormy weather and maybe even getting shipwrecked!

March 17: Animal Antics

Who says playing a character means it has to be a person? Why not an animal? Get in touch with your wild side and learn how to use your body and voice to realistically portray different animals. Lots of fun improvisation games to play once the different animal characters have been explored! Get ready to tell us about your pets (or dream pets) too!
