Second Annual Rush Tribute Night

Different Stages is a three-piece Rush Tribute Band from the Clinton and Zurich areas. The band consists of Norm Barlow on bass/vocals/keyboards, Alex Barlow on guitar and James Debus on drums.

They will take you back in time as you travel through such songs and Working Man, Fly By Night, In the Mood, 2112, and various other classic Rush tunes right up to Tom Sawyer, Limelight and YYZ. The usual comment is "If you close your eyes, you would swear you were actually listening to Rush in their younger days!"

"We have had people go through our YouTube video versions of Closer to the Heart thoroughly before they booked us. They thought we were playing along to a CD. I also purposefully made some changes in the vocal performance of the song as I knew some people might have thought I was lip-syncing or using some kind of pre-recorded coal device," said Norm.

Get ready for one of the most exciting trips down memory lane as you listen to the music of Rush played 'live' with no auto-tune, pre-recorded vocals or vocal backing tracks...just the raw live feeling one gets off of the All the World's a Stage album complete with feedback!

Do you remember the high pitch Geddy Lee shrill as he belted out Temples of Syrinx and Closer to the Heart? Do you remember the first few driving chords of Working Man as you sang along? If you are a Rush fan or know someone who is, invite them on this trip back in time to the days when vinyl was king, when Rush played Maple Leaf Gardens, or even when Rush played at your high school. The annual East Street Station tribute to Rush is back again!
