Learn to Run Naturally- For Non-runners!!

This class is for everyone who believes that they cannot run. This is for anyone who wants to get active and start feeling great! This is for anyone who hasn't been able to shed those pounds and wants to shift their metabolism to that of a lean person! But more importantly, this is for anyone who just want to get out and run/walk with other fun people!!
Running is a natural activity for humans - just watch children!! The key is proper natural technique that is healthy for our joints, muscles, and ligaments!! This is an initial learning curve to retrain the body to run properly. And after that, the joy of running is OURS!!
We will meet once a week for 8 weeks. We will go over the basics of natural running. These techniques are based on barefoot running. But you don't have to actually run barefoot - unless you want to!!
Our group will take part in Goderich's 5K "Run around the Square" event on May 13th, 2012. If this seems scary and impossible, I assure you that it isn't. (the photo on the right is me finishing last year's Run Around the Square - and I was happy and feeling great!) These kinds of events are wonderful family events that applaud EVERYONE who comes out and gives it a try. Whether you walk the whole race, do a combination run/walk or find yourself able to run the whole thing, it's all good! And we'll all be there to support each other!! It's a wonderful feeling of accomplishment and you'll definitely be able to do it after this 8-week course!!
