Debbie Carroll

debbie2Debbie has participated in the wonderful world of early childhood music as a parent, teacher, recording artist, performer, author and workshop leader.  A UWO music and education grad, she is excited to be leading music classes for young children and their grownups at the East Street Station.

A piano student as a child and teen, and a flute major at Western, Debbie has since dabbled in other instruments including guitar, Celtic harp, tin whistle, and fretted dulcimer.

Debbie appreciates what she calls the magic moments, those times when the clock seems to stop and one’s senses grow wide with wonder ~ they can happen while watching a sunset, walking through a beautiful garden, taking in a play or concert, singing in harmony with good friends, or holding a newborn baby.

Debbie enjoys the many magic moments that can happen when music, dance and rhyme are shared in groups of babies, young children and their grownups.  For her classes she chooses fun and beautiful repertoire from traditional and new sources.

Debbie has 2 CDs of music for children:  Simply Beautiful and Up and Over the Moon!

and 1 BOOK (CD included): The Eensy Weensy Book of Little Fingerplays!
